KIR STEFAN THE SERB CHOIR
Kir Stefan the Serb Choir of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church was established
in Toronto in May 2000, through the dedicated efforts of its four founding
members: Very Reverend Vasilije Tomić, Jasmina Vučurović, conductor
and Nada and Milan Dimitrijević, seasoned choral singers.
The Choir responds during Holy Liturgies at St. Sava Church and has also performed
in Toronto, Milton, Ottawa, Kitchener, Niagara Falls, Whitby and Hamilton in Canada,
Chicago, Boston and Portland in U.S.A., as well as in London, Stockholm and Belgrade
in Europe.
Many consider Kir Stefan the Serb Choir, named after the first Serbian medieval
composer known, one of the finest Serbian choirs in North America. The Choir’s
mission, to be the ambassador of Serbian culture, is confirmed through many performances:

Serbian composers, Stevan St. Mokranjac. Concert was held at Adam Hall,
Chateau Laurier under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia
and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia – Ottawa, Canada.
